FAQs

Why do I have access to some instances and documents but not others?

The Florida Supreme Court has resolute the appropriate access level for each user category. These access levels comply with laws protecting confidential information. The Secretary must maintain these access levels and use specific security protocols to protect confidential information and documents.

Can I view un-redacted documents online?

No, only complete documents are available online to protect sensitive information such as account information, social security numbers, etc. To obtain complete copies of documents, you must appear in court and present identification. Once your identity is verified and your involvement in the case is confirmed, you may receive a full copy of the document.

I am a lawyer and need increased access to my cases. How do I obtain this?

You can register as a lawyer online to gain additional access to all matters for which you are registered. You must complete an affidavit, which must be notarized and delivered by mail or in person at one of the Orange County Circuit Court offices. Once your order is validated, you will receive an email verifying the activation of your account. Note: An attorney’s access to records depends on their current status with the Florida Bar, which the Orange County Clerk of Courts checks daily. If your status is not updated, you cannot log into my eClerk account.

What should I do if I see confidential information online that has not been redacted?

The Secretariat values the security of confidential information. Make sure you select the appropriate service.
